Bundle Pack – Organic Spirulina Powder + Organic Raw Cacao Powder
Spirulina is a type of micro blue-green algae that grows naturally in both salty and fresh water in subtropical climates. It is a type of bacteria called cyanobacterium, which is able to produce energy out of sunlight, through the process called photosynthesis.
It has been consumed for centuries for its high nutritional value and is often referred to as the single most nutrient-dense food on earth. The quality of the protein in spirulina is considered excellent, as it is a complete protein, containing all the essential amino acids that we need. This protein content makes up to 60% of the product by weight.
The RAWGANIQ™ Difference
Our spirulina is grown and harvested in fresh sterile and alkaline waters. Such conditions allow it to thrive as it incorporates and absorbs various minerals and derivative compounds into its cell structure. During cultivation, these various minerals become chelated (bonded) with amino acids, which produces a form that is much easier for human cells to absorb.

Our Organic raw cacao powder is made from the highest quality hand selected Peruvian cacao beans. After undergoing a partial fermentation process to remove bitterness, the antioxidant rich cacao fiber is low-temperature separated away from the fragrant cacao butter without the use of solvents or chemicals. The cacao cake is finely milled at low-temperature into our cacao powder, to protect the nutrients and flavor.

Description:
Spirulina grows in microscopic spirals, which tend to stick together, making it easy to harvest. It has an intense blue-green color, but a relatively mild taste. Aside from supplements, Spirulina is also used as a color additive in various foods. Spirulina contains significant amounts of calcium, niacin, potassium, magnesium, B vitamins and iron, as well as the essential amino acids (the building blocks of proteins).
From a calorie point of view, Spirulina nutrition provides approximately 60 calories per tablespoon, primarily from the protein content. A tablespoon of spirulina contains a small amount of fat (approx. 1g) that comprises both omega-6 and omega-3 fatty acids in about a 1.5:1 ratio.
The cacao tree requires protection from wind and needs a lot of shade with plentiful water supply. It bears a fruit that are called pods and are differing hues of yellow and orange when ripe. Because the tree is of shallow root structure, it is not sturdy enough for climbing and so many of these pods are picked by using long poles with knives on the end. A typical pod releases 20-50 beans. These beans possess a type of slimy covering which is left covered to ferment for a few days. The fermentation allows some of the bitterness to be removed from the inner bean. Once fermented, the beans are dried.
Health Benefits of Spirulina:
- Powerful antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties due to the presence of Phycocyanin, which is also responsible for the blue-green colour.
- May help to lower Total cholesterol, LDL and triglyceride levels
- May prevent oxidation of LDL cholesterol
- May reduce blood pressure
- May improve symptoms of allergic rhinitis (inflammation in the nasal airways), which are set off by various airborne allergens – pollen, animal hair or even wheat dust.
- May improve muscle strength and endurance through reducing oxidative damage to muscle tissue.
- May help to reduce blood sugar levels
Health Benefits of Cacao:
- Nutritionally dense food, including protein, fat, certain B-vitamins and minerals such as calcium, sulfur, magnesium, phosphorus, iron, zinc and copper.
- May help to improve mood
- May help to improve alertness
- May naturally regulate blood sugar levels
- May support cardiovascular health, due to ability to reduce oxidation
How to Use Spirulina:
The most common forms of spirulina are powder and hard case tablets. However this powder is also an ingredient in some protein and energy-boosting powder mixes.
Stir a desired spoonful of spirulina powder into a glass of water or juice and drink it straight, or add it a smoothie. It can also be used as an addition to baking or natural wet desserts. The taste is fairly complex and bitter, but can be offset by using natural sweeteners like fruit (pineapple, mango, orange, etc) and various dried fruits like dates and raisins.
How to Use Cacao:
- Cacao powder can be used in instant cocoas, chocolates, desserts, home-baking
- Mix into smoothies, kefir yoghurt, cottage cheese or in raw desserts
- Replace cocoa in hot chocolate beverages
- Add into oatmeal, parfaits, salads and puddings.
- Use to make chocolate
